Note From The Author
A message from the author - May 2008.
As Words can help goes forward to it’s third year on the internet I wish to say thanks to all that have helped in the first two years. To reach those that I believe may be helped by the story of my experiences I asked for permission to mention this place on their websites, http://www.merrywidow.me.uk, http://www.beyondindigo.com, http://www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/index.htm,
To those that allowed me to reprint items from their websites, http://www.srichinmoy.org/resources/library/questions_answers/death/, http://www.funeral-poems.org/ http://www.bereavement-poems-articles.com/default.php,
Marian Barker at, http://mypoetry.blog.co.uk/, http://goodwords.blog.co.uk/?paged=2, http://mywordsandthoughts.blog.co.uk/,
And with my special thanks to Bel Mooney, www.belmooney.co.uk, www.dailymail.co.uk/belmooney
My thanks to Jan De Vries for permission to copy his article "We should never be ashamed of grieving" as published in The Sunday Post, July 27th, 2008.

Has your visit to Words can help helped you? Do you know anyone that this place may help? (see, "spread the word" for direct e-mail contact) Do you have any suggestions that would improve this website? Please let me know by e-mailing on the address given below.
Please join in, you may help yourself or help others, use the Forum/Message board to leave your favourite poem or words of comfort. There is a place for your own story or a eulogy from the funeral service, or a memorium and photograph can be shown. All use of the site is free.
During the first two years there have been visitors from every country in the world, and has had 34,085 visitors,( edit July 2009. now 64,276 ) I am extremely proud of those figures and of the e-mails that I have received from those that feel that this place has helped them, their families and their friends to understand a little more.
Wordscanhelp first appeared on the internet in May 2006 and it is my intention, and hope, that it will continue in the future. I do not believe that bereaved persons would wish to see information regarding items for sale. This website is non-commercial and has been paid for by myself since it started. Please join in and take advantage of this website and what it has to offer.
Have you had any difficulty in using this site? Please do not hesitate to e-mail me (all e-mails will remain private, this site does not collect or deal in visitors information).
It would be appreciated if you would wish to make any small donation towards the upkeep of this site .
Thanks for visiting and all my best wishes for your future.
